CIA stands for the Club for International Awareness. Our main activity is the Cultural Fair where students present a variety of countries for the students to visit. They may sample snacks and drinks from the different countries and learn about many different places around the world. We also sponsor cultural activities for global awareness. Our club is open to everyone. 

Interact is a Rotary sponsored student service organization for high school students.  The goal of the DHS Interact Club is to promote service over self attitudes while developing leadership skills in our members.  We introduce students to opportunities to involve themselves in the betterment of our school and community.  Each year we participate in a variety of activities and events which have included:  Share-A-Christmas, volunteering at Rotary’s Run for Home Event, Breakfast with Santa, Big Brothers Big Sisters Bowling, the Walk for Alzheimer’s, coin drives to benefit the food pantry, charity Dodgeball tournaments and we run the Dover Safety Town program.  Additionally,  we facilitate school leadership activities such as the Character Counts program at each of the elementary schools.  We typically conduct one International project each year such as donating towards Rotary’s smokeless stoves projects and clean water wells in India or new mattresses in an orphanage in the Ukraine.  Active Interact students are invited to attend a fun trip in June that is usually free to the student.  In the past we have gone to Kalahari, Cedar Point, Columbus Zoo & Zoombezi Bay.

Crimson Crew:   Open to anyone who attends ANY sporting events, the “pep club” is a great way to be involved in DHS athletics.  Students determine themes, construct cheers and even skits, and just have fun at sporting events.  Though the focus has typically been on football and boys’ basketball, the Crimson Crew hopes to use creativity in making all our student athletes feel supported at all events.  The Kaenel Krazies  basketball student section has earned state recognition as a Golden Megaphone finalist four years in a row, and we want to keep the momentum rolling!  

Scholar Challenge is an academic question and answer club that will challenge the depth and breadth of your recall and knowledge. Our club is a fast-paced buzzer competition in which teams of three or four players compete to answer questions that cover subjects like literature, government, and science as well as the broader world of pop culture and current events. Players attend periodic practices to represent their school at scheduled and online tournaments. Our club is open to everyone. 

Best Buddies is a club that creates opportunities for one-to-one friendships and leadership development for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Best Buddies helps form meaningful friendships between peers, improve communication skills, and create memorable experiences for all students.

This group meets to enjoy various social events. We may play board games, play a whole group game, enjoy a snack together, or just hang out as high schoolers do. All are welcome to join this inclusive group that promotes friendship and fun amongst all students.
